New Around Here
I'm using an AC66 in Media Bridge mode. The main screen, however, shows a warning icon up top with the following message:
Your Wi-Fi network has not been encrypted yet and is at risk. We recommend that you create a password for your network to avoid security risks.
Change now (2.4GHz)

I upgraded to Merlin before switching to Bridge mode so I'm not sure if this was present on the Asus standard firmware.

I confirmed that the Bridge is not broadcasting its SSID, and cannot be joined manually.

This seems like a bug so thought I would share. It also makes me wonder if Bridge mode should shut off the unused wifi radio. In my case its accessing a AC68 router on 5G/ac mode - there is no need for the Bridge to have the 2.4Ghz radio on. I would imagine in most all cases its using one or the other.

Router should be reset after switching from OEM to merlin firmware.

You didn't mention if you set up WiFi passwords.

The router was upgraded to merlin straight out of the box, so it wasn't configured ahead of time. When in bridge mode, there is no place to set wifi passwords, nor does that concept make sense. Before bridge mode, the passwords were not set (out of the box defaults)

This is a known bug with the notification code, merlin doesn't want to edit it at the moment though as its changing every release and Asus will eventually pick up on it.

Look for a Linksys EA6500 Refurbished, this works well for me in my network in bridge mode.:)
