Ok, I got the Klein Scout Pro and ran a bunch of tests on the wires.
Kitchen: Wires 1-2 reported Fail/Short/Open, 3/6 same thing.
MBR: Oddly, same as Kitchen, same wires, same result.
I ran a distance test on both wires and 1/2 and 3/6 all came back zero (both cables), the rest seemed appropriate for their location. I checked the punch and re-jacked (again) the media panel and re-ran all the tests.
Here is the oddity, I was getting the following: Fail Short Open which means:
Fail: not according to a wiring standard: (I’m 100% using T568B Residential))
Short: two wires making conductive contact
Open: wires not making contact at both ends
Yet I’ve confirmed that the cable is now working.
I’m still getting Fail Short, but not Open, yet both cables work perfectly from switch to wall jack.
I then started to test a few patch cables I KNOW are off the shelf and even those are getting Fail Short, so now I have trust issues with the Klein Scout Pro despite the fact it did help me diagnose the issue and get it fixed. I tested 10 cables I have in the closet and NONE of them passed. Not a single one.
