can I hardware 2 ac-68u's together rather than wireless bridge?

New Around Here
I have one ac-68u wired up to the cable modem with port 1 lan wired to a netgear gs108t switch in my bedroom. I run everything wired except occasional wireless laptop/tablet/roku, but need to add more connections.

I thought of adding a second switch onto the first, but could I add a second ac-68u wired to the first lan port 1 (in place of the switch), and then in port 2 add the switch to it providing 9 connections total available (ports 3,4 on router and ports 2-8 remaining on switch)?

Why would you want to spend all that money for another router?
If it's just a problem of number of available wired connection I would just just but more then one switch or a switch with more rj45 connections.
