Can I make a wired client Internet-only?

A guest's laptop in my home has a wired connection to my RT-N66U. I would like the guest to be able to access the Internet, but not my intranet.

Is there a way to force a wired client to have Internet-only access?

Not possible, because the wired traffic is switched, not routed. So anything plugged on the other Ethernet ports will be accessible from one another.

The easiest thing to do is to cascade an old router that you have laying around. Cascade it LAN to WAN for a double NAT for your guest.
Main router IP address (example) 192.168.1.1
Secondary router IP address (example) 192.168.2.1

If you don't have an old router, you can buy a refurb for $10-15.00. Then just disable the wireless on it.

Or you can search this forum for sinshiva's vlan thread.
