The issue with this router - extremely ugly design. Hanging this thing on the wall is like horror movie set.

May be good for Australia where people are not surprised to see long legged things like this on the wall. 🤭

Added TUF-AX4200, RT-AX88U Pro, RT-AX86U Pro routers and updated the current pricing for TUF-AX6000.

TUF-AX6000 deal is now dead. Staples' RT-AX86 Pro is now $190 while Canada Computer increased their price to $220. Canada Computers' RT-AX88U Pro increased by $10.

On sale at staples again/still for $190 CAD not too shabby!!

I would buy AX1800 class PoE powered SMB APs with native VLAN support instead. They start under $100, no 3rd party firmware needed, much smaller size and better looking, no power adapter.

Ignore the resident troll trying to convince you to buy worse hardware for more money. These filogic routers are amazing and stable.

Is Canada getting the filogic 820 units RT-AX52/57M/1800v2/etc?
We only have RT-AX1800S available, but I can't confirm if they are Version 2 hardware (MT7981 / Filiogic 820) . At one point they were selling them as low as ~$50 CAD at Staples Canada, but it was very likely V1 hardware (MT7621AT) at the time.

Same here. NA should get RT-AX1800Sv2 /RT-AX3000S and RT-AX57m.

The ax52 has a US support entry; however, broadcom isn't going to be happy if a $50 filogic 820 router exists.
Currently, D-Link's M30 is on sale for $70 CAD. All time low pricing was at $60 CAD back in Feb 2024. Hardware is MT7981 / Filiogic 820 and supported by Openwrt 23.05.5 release build.

Alternatively, there is also D-Link's M32 and R32 which uses MT7622BV (Filogic 800) with N 2.4GHz 4x4 + AX 5GHz 4x4 for $47 CAD. Both models are supported by Openwrt 23.05.5 release build as well.

R32 at Staples Canada
M32 at Amazon Canada

They are available at dlink.ca for the same price, but their return policy isn't as good compared to Staples / Amazon.
