well now theres a few hours of my life I aint getting back! tried restore my ddwrt to factory, but it wouldnt take the merlin fw. kept reverting back to ddwrt. had to do a asus fw recovery to latest asus. Even then asus said the merlin fw incorrect. had to do recovery again pointing to merlin. then I got same issue as I was explaining above.
The fw cant live with the ISP router being on the same subnet!! any way round this merlin? my ISP being on 192.168.11.1, asus being on .99. shouldnt be too hard eh? asus report ip conflict n all sots, cant get internet working.
under WAN IP setup my WAN IP and gateway would essentially be the .1 address wouldnt it? but the fw wont accept it saing it cant be the same! oh jeez! anyone have a solution? I want it all on same subnet due to some devices being connected to the ISP router too so I want all to be able to talk without messing round with routes etc.. believe me Ive wasted more hours of my life tring to get it to work the "asus" way!
HELP!
cheers
