Can't see network shares on some machines...

New Around Here
Hi, I have been searching around, but I don't see this question anywhere. Or I'm just searching the wrong key words.
I have Merlin 51 on my Asus 68U. Everything seemed to be fine, but we noticed recently that my wife's computer (win7, wifi) couldn't see the Canon printer anymore. The printer is on the network via wifi. My main computer (win7, wired) still sees it just fine though. Digging around, i noticed she couldn't see some of the other network shares either, like I have a usb drive attached to the Asus and a share on my main computer as well. I thought it was something with her computer, but then I noticed the laptop in the kitchen (win7, wifi) is also having the same problem.
I have an android tablet that can see my computer share, but not the Asus share. The PS3 is wired and can see everything.
So I feel like something with wifi is not quite right. I've gone thru all the network settings on the machines and I don't see anything off. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this a bug with the Asus or the version of merlin that I'm running?
Oh one other thing I was wondering. All these shares were working fine before. I don't know when it stopped working, but I did update from stock Asus firmware to merlin a few months ago, so that's another thing which has me thinking...
Thanks!

Sounds like a problem with windows 7. Verify that services such as ssdp discovery and all that are actually on the devices you are having problems with. You can either type in services and then click it or press the windows key + R to pull up a window in which you can type "services.msc"

Hi, thanks for the reply!
Late last night, I thought I'd go ahead and try updating Merlin, just for grins. So I pulled down 52.2. And that seems to do the trick. I can now see my printer and network shares from my wife's pc. It was late, so I didn't check with the other machines that were having the same problem. But I'll check those this evening and post an update.
Strange that noone else, as far as I can tell, has been having this problem.
Thanks again!
