New Around Here
I cannot use 192.168.1.1 for my routers IP address due to some changes made by Spectrum and their "new" modem
My routers IP is set for 192.168.1.5, but when i use my router to generate a certificate
it will only produce one for 192.168.1.1 and thus not usable
Any ideas of how to get a certificate with my correct address in it

The router has to be online and get the correct date via the NTP server, otherwise it won't be able to generate the correct certificate, it will always use the default parameters to generate a temporary certificate on every boot (that's what you experienced).

For routers in AP mode, you may need to go to this page ( http(s)://ipaddr/Advanced_ASUSDDNS_Content.asp ) to generate a persistent certificate. The time must also be correct.
