Clean win 10 install slow download (fast upload)

So my desktop computer needed a clean out so I did windows reset tool (deleted everything) and reinstalled fresh drivers.

PRE RESET: my Asus WiFi adapter was getting solid speeds (200 down, 50 up speedtest.net)

AFTER RESET: download speed is .3 and upload is 50 still

I’ve updated the drivers for the WiFi adapter and all the drivers for the computer

My phones, laptop, etc on WiFi working correctly

What could it be? Thanks!

Have you forced all of the updates to windows? When Windows needs updates I've noticed internet connectivity suffers.

FWIW: I did a reset on my laptop a few months ago, didn't really use the computer until my semester started, I "thought" resting it would address some issues I was having with the PC. It didn't help a thing I still have issues with the laptop, internet connectivity is one of them. Next time (probably during spring break) I think I'll completely wipe the drive and do a clean install of the OS, I don't have a very high opinion of the MS reset tool

hi there, yep forced all windows updates! someone recommended trying a basic realtek driver rather than the asus one
