connecting to ISP after hard reset

After doing a hard reset on my rt ac 88 u the setup wizard does most of the grunt work but as I am on pppoe with a VLAN setting of 2 and the PRIO setting of 0 , the setup wizard doesn't recognize the VLAN 2 setting and has to be done manually. I use Merlin firmware but it also won't recognize the VLAN value on Asus stock firmware.Is there a way to get it to set the VLAN value to 2 automatically? I may have asked this question before. If I have please forgive me as my memory has never been very good since being bowled over by a car in my youth

Asus doesn't know your VLAN-ID used by your ISP, we all have to set it manually.

Write it down to a sticker on the router backside to be remembered.
If you do so you wont even need it because you will remember before using it.
