No. They're not really relevant for standard cable connections.

I only asked because before posting here originally i researched the error the router was giving about ISP DHCP failure and those options were also recommended several places. i made the recommended adjustment to the dhcp query frequency, we will see if it makes any difference, only "time" will tell.
