New Around Here
I'm considering moving to a NAS for my home computer system.

I currently have an iMac that has about 10TB's of data consisting of a large photos library , lots of home moves using the TV app , a large music library

I am considering a NAS and would like to be able to:

1) Run my large apple photos library from my MacBook and store it on the NAS
2) Run my apple TV app from my MacBook and store it on the NAS
3) Run my apple Music App from my MacBook and store it on the NAS
4) Use apple homeshare so that I can view movies and listen to music on the Apple TVs around the house and store them on the NAS (per 1, 2 &3)
5) Access my documents folder from my MacBook and store it on the NAS
6) Use crash plan to backup the NAS
7) Have the NAS setup as a RAID 1-0 for mirroring (I like to have two backup methods)
8) To build in storage needs the NAS should be at 40TB (with the mirroring) so max storage is 20TB

I'm just embarking on my fact finding and research and would really appreciate any advice that you can give such as which NAS to buy and how it would be configured?

Thanks!
