Small cosmetic UI glitch when using Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.33 (Merlin build) on RT-AC66u and trying to read the last entry in the Client Status... if you click to show the Mac address vendor the bottom of the information box gets cut off and if you move off the selection and try to scroll to read it, it retracts and dissapears so you cant read it.. Not sure if theres an easy way to fix this...

I found that the Client Status was not updating for all clients on the AC66u with .33. I reset to factory defaults and set everything up manually again and it was still not showing all clients. Is anyone else seeing this?

I can reproduce this with 374.33 and my Ac66u

I see this issue too.

I see this issue too. Even hitting refresh does not work sometimes.

I will need a screenshot to understand what you are referring to.

Confirmed this is also present on RT-N66U.

The last device on my list is an Android phone, but if I attempt to view the rest of the MAC data (to view the half hidden line) by attempting to move the dialog box then it immediatley closes.

Regards,

Client status

Martineau beat me to it. But here is the screenshot of what i'm referring to
Added one of the RT-AC68 so its not Merlin only... But geesh.. could Asus have used a larger next page arrow in the UI...

when you click the last entry and it cuts off just move your mouse slightly up and it'll display the whole entry...temp workaround i found.

Asus limited the number of clients per page - I could probably just adjust it by having one less client shown per page, assuming the item count isn't dynamically dictated by the page height.

Hello,

Now to the other issue with Client Status. I noticed I am only getting two clients showing up. I have a PS3 and two Galaxy S4s, a Nexus 10 and my printer that have connected since reboot. All that shows up is my VOIP and Desktop PC and the refresh "hour glass" just keeps going in circles non-stop.

I have an RT-AC66U running .33 and I did a factory reset after updating the firmware, manually applying all the settings.

Try going to LAN > Switch control and disable Spanning-Tree Protocol if it's enabled. You might need to reboot after doing that, I'm not sure.

That is strange. I have always had the STP enabled. I wonder if I increase the verbosity of the log if it will tell me something.

I think the problem is more complicated than that.

When I initially go to the Network Map, the list is displayed with scroll bars, and the link to page2 of the list is cut off. See first attached jpg, where you can barely see the page2 link, mostly obscured by the scroll bar.

If I click on the link to display page2, then click the link to re-display page1 again, it is displayed without the scroll bars (the page2 link is now to the right of the "Refresh" button.) See the second attached jpg.

In the above two cases, it seems that the page2 link is being "wrapped" due to the addition of the progress spinner. Any time the progress spinner shows up (like hitting refresh, or initially loading the page), the page2 link gets thrown down a line and the scroll bars appear.

As for the popup dialogs with MAC lookup details, even clicking the item third from the bottom still results in truncating the popup dialog. See the third attached jpg, where the device 3rd from bottom ("C5-North") was clicked, and the displayed dialog is truncated at the bottom. I have to go to the 4th item from the bottom before there is enough room for the dialog to display.

All minor stuff, to be sure. I'm not complaining, just documenting. :)

Thanks for the detailed info. I'll take a look at this once I'm done working on some other stuff.

I have exactly the same issue. Worked in the previous stable version on my AC66U, broken in version .33.

Disabling spanning-tree as Finguz suggested results in more clients being displayed, however it is still not a complete list, and the 'hourglass' circle keeps spinning.

I updated to v .34 and I am still experiencing this bug (client status list doesn't completely update and 'hourglass' keeps spinning).

@RMerlin, have you had a chance to investigate it?

@RMerlin - Just updated to 3.0.0.4.374.34_2 and the problem of the client status not updating/completing has now been resolved.

Thanks! :)
