Disabled 2.4 Band, SSID still broadcasting...

Hi,

I am having trouble disabling 2.4 radio on my AC86U with Merlin 384.19. When I disable it in Professional tab (Wireless -> Professional -> Enable Radio -> No -> Apply) the router itself shows, that the 2.4 GHz radio is disabled, however, all the clients show that 2.4 GHz signal is still up and can even connect to it...

Both radios work without problems, I just do not need 2.4 GHz radio at the moment.


Any ideas?

Have you rebooted , or power cycled the router since switching off the 2.4Ghz?

@mkflyers2k, welcome to the forum. Not exactly sure what you are indicating with your screen shot by necroposting that screen shot several times without additional explanation to a three year old discussion.

The OP at the time (2021) was using a RT-AC86U with Merlin 384.19. The RT-AC86U does not support the 3004.388.x firmware indicated in your screen shot. Today, the latest Merlin firmware the RT-AC86U supports (assuming the OP is even still using that router) is 386.14.
