Disallowing access to clients

in UI / Network Map, when I click on "View List" and see popup window with the clients, the icon on the left has tooltip "Allow internet access", which looks like it could be somehow disallowed here, but it's not clickable. I have a feeling that in the past it was, and some clients could be disabled here, if only to find out who is who.

I interpret to mean that the device has access to the WAN. I don't believe it was intended to be anything else. However, instead of choosing "View List" you select the icon above it that looks like a terminal, a "Client Status" panel appears at the right.

If you now choose one of the client icons, you will see that one of the options is to "Block Internet Access" for that device. When I did it for one of my devices, the globe icon for that device now looks like:
