First off, thanks Merlin for creating a Free Alternative Firmware! It's far superior to the generic one...
I'm fairly new to Linux router firmware, so I have probably some very stupid and basic problem...
My router is flooding Synology Disk Station logs with this error
DHCPINFORM(br0) 192.168.1.9.......
&
DHCPACK(br0)............
After a day an half of research I've found that putting:
dhcp-option=252,"\n"
will shut these windows 7 machines up.
However... I can't seem to implement that change... the change appears to save then as soon as the router is rebooted it's gone again...
I've tried killing the process id then adding it
upgrading to Merlin-Firmware
but it seems I am either not an administrator or my changes are being over written...
I've seen posts about adding a dnsmasq.conf.add file... but the entire file system appears to be locked down or read only... so not only do I not know where to put that file, but I also don't if I have the rights too.....
Please help... step by step instructions would be most valuable!
Thank you.
