Hi,
I have an asus router, I set up a openvpn server on it and currently my computer connects to it via my wireless's default gateway IP

The reason why I'm doing this is because I've read that we can stay safe by using VPN on unsecured wi-fi, as VPN will provide connection/data encryption like
Although I have to say I've already got basic WPA2-Personal with AES encryption running, would that be enough? Would connecting to router + VPN and routing connection traffic through it make it more secure in some way?
How can I benefit and not benefit from this setup?
Thanks.
