Double Nat Environment W/ huawei hg532c Adsl Gateway & RT-AC68R

My primary Modem / Router is a huawei hg532c adsl gateway provided by my Isp here in Ensenada, Mexico and through a Lan port I have my RT-AC68R connected to its Wan port. I have my RT-AC68R dmz'ed through huawei gateway and also have the wireless function of the gateway turned off, unfortunetly my ac68r is still having problems with double nat environment with the DDNS thus giving me complications with Aidisk not working away from my home and also with @ home bandwidth issues on the ac68r. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you in advance.

I have a very similar setup to you. I have a Huawei B222s-42 dmz'd to the ASUS RT-AC68U.

I also am unable to receive a wan ip address from m provider. I just receive the dmz'd ip address of 192.168.1.254.

On my previous dd-wrt router which was also connected to the huawei router, i also received the ip address of 192.168.1.254 until i checked the radio button "do not use external ip check" on the ddns page.

You will see it on the last screenshot on the page below.

Although this will not help you when using the original firmware, if you do decide to add dd-wrt, you will be able to receive the correct ip address of the router.

I am not currently using dd-wrt and fortunately i do not have bandwidth issues.
