DSL-AC88U and Asuswrt-Merlin

Hi all,

I just got the Asus Wireless Modem Router DSL-AC88U. I apologise if this has been asked before, but I could not find an answer going through the Forum.
Anyway, my question is:
Is the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware for the RT-AC88U compatible with my new modem router, the Asus DSL-AC88U. And if it is, which stable release would I upload, considering the following??
Currently running Asuswrt1.10.02 Build 502 which I uploaded via my Windows 10 machine.

No it's not compatible.

No only way it would work would be if it was in a router only mode, meaning the modem would be disabled.

Still wouldn't work. The DSL has a different processor.

Yeh, I just discovered the processor is different than that in the RT-AC88U.
Sorry for wasting anyone,'s time.
I should have done more investigation before posting.
