Hello,
I have a RT-AC68U with firmware:3.0.0.4.374.39 (Merlin build).
Until today I have used it with just one WAN and I have forwarded some ports using a script from jffs to be able to connect to SSH and another server I am using and everything worked well.
I have added today another WAN, on LAN port 4. (Dual WAN config set as Load Balance with config 3:1)
The 1st WAN is behind the IPS' modem and it's port is set as static internal IP (192.168....) and the 2nd (LAN 4) is set as PPPoE which takes the WAN IP automatically.
Both of them connect correctly to the internet, but I am not able to connect to my server and to my router from outside the network on both of the IP's, just on the one connecting with PPPoE.
Any ideas on how to connect to my router on both of the IPs?
Some other questions regarding dual WAN:
- What is the difference between Load Balance and Fail Over?
- How does my router react in each of these situations?
- I would also like to know how can I use the DDNS service with dual WAN. Is this possible with my configuration?
I tried DDNS but the internal IP (WAN 1) is sent instead of the external one (WAN 2).
