New Around Here
Forgive me if this has been asked before. I searched the forums & ea-n66 brings back no matches.
I just got FiOS 70/30 at home. I live in a two story home with my router located downstairs and I'm not happy with the Actiontec's built in WiFi, it's the newest version, but meh. My Apple Airport Extreme 4th gen is better, but I'd like to see if I can get more, and possibly get more control (at least an http interface)
I've read the SNB review of the EA-N66, and looked at router charts. The review seems to focus on using it with an RT-N66U, and it doesn't place in the router charts because, well, it's not a router.
My questions are: Will the EA-N66 give me better coverage than my 4th Gen AEBS? Will wireless coverage of the EA-66 be near the RT-N66?
I see no reason to spend the extra on a router when I'll have to run whatever I get as an AP because the Actiontec will be managing DHCP, NAT, and QoS.
