Entware breaking Asus DDNS

Hi guys, got a weird problem in my rt-ac66u running latest merlin firmware.

For months i had asus ddns working perfect with Entware. but due to a problem with minidlna i had to reflash the firmware.

Now after installing Entware my asus ddns looks fine but nothing works via it, no ftp,vpn, nothing, but if i use a alternative ddns provider it works fine.

I have reseted,re flashed various versions of firmware and the result its the same now!

I have to say that the only way i can install Entware is the " old way" as the "Easy way" gets disabled by optwate at the next start-up.

Any help or input would be appreciated, many thanks.

Dunno about ddns problem but if you install entware with the easy way method, delete optware directory from disk and all should be ok.

I will try that tomorow as im tired of inputting all settings manually.
UPDATE.....
Today I have so far ...
Formated the hardrive ext2, tried another drive, reseted router via various methods, uploaded various firmwares via recovery etc.
I Managed to register another asus ddns and got it working , but once the device reboots no longer works.
Meanwhile using a dyndns domain there is no problems.
Maybe its a problem in the asus end.

Entware is working as it should, I have adblock and transmission working.

Merlin and DDNS

I have an Asus rt-66u router and I am thinking about upgrading to the Merlin software. Does Merlin allow custom DDNS? I feel limited by Asus trying to force me to use only what is on their DDNS list. With my dlink dir-655 router, I could type in which DDNS service I wanted to use. Thanks in advance.
