this is with the factory unit
Looks like your router cannot send ping commands. Is it possible that your ISP is blocking those?
Test a known site being up, any you can view in the browser.
Code:
ping diversion.ch
ping abc.com
Test some more just to be sure if they fail.

Answer my question in the chat.

no pings indeed:

admin@RT-AC68U-FAC:/tmp/home/root# ping abc.com
PING abc.com (99.84.203.44): 56 data bytes
^C
--- abc.com ping statistics ---
13 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

admin@RT-AC68U-FAC:/tmp/home/root# ping 8.8.8.8
PING 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8): 56 data bytes
^C
--- 8.8.8.8 ping statistics ---
9 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

admin@RT-AC68U-FAC:/tmp/home/root# ping 1.1.1.1
PING 1.1.1.1 (1.1.1.1): 56 data bytes
^C
--- 1.1.1.1 ping statistics ---
9 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

admin@RT-AC68U-FAC:/tmp/home/root#

don't think ISP is blocking.
However haven't installed entware for ages.
Was a very early adopter of Diversion, I think installing entware was done differently, wasn't part of the firmware if I remember.
I can ping and browser visit all those sites from my Windoze PC, no problem.

It was the ubiquiti link somehow blocking ICMP etc. !!
Installed that years ago, never encountered these problems.
But must say that I didn't need to install entware since.
Got diversion/Entware shortly after they were avaialble .
Thank you guys for helping, especially thelonelycoder!
Danke schoen!!

Thats the Kernel, why would it be related to Entware?
Update amtm, it now has an automatic Entware server switching feature.

That log is reporting that opkg has crashed. That's Entware's package manager.

Now I see, at the very top. Missed it.
Got this error when I'm trying to update amtm.
amtm is up to date. But you seem to have network resolving problems. For brevity, I suggest you reset your router to defailt settings and then format the usb drive and reinstall your addons.

I did format and reinstall addons, but haven't done router default settings. Maybe it is network resolving problems that happens only to amtm, because I can ping or access entware server with no issue. All addons works fine too.

My tests are built to only succeed if ping and download work at he same time. Ping may work but the server may not (be allowed) to serve content through your network setup. Might be your ISP, network topology or resolvers you use.

Like this? Apparently wget has a mirror command...

Code:
wget -mkxKE -e robots=off https://bin.entware.net/

EDIT: just tried this out, and seems to be downloading the entire https://bin.entware.net contents to my local drive... Not sure if on the next round, it would speed up and skip files that are identical, so that it only updates changes? We shall see I guess! :)

EDIT2: It took about 2hrs to download all main directories and their most current version files. It then started on the \archive directories, and my goodness... there are a TON of files in these. I have a feeling it would take another 6-8hrs to completely download all the other \archive directories for each directory set.

I also tried running the command which should only download newer version of files... but it's hard to tell if it will work, until they post a new version of something out there:

Code:
wget -N https://bin.entware.net/

I think you can and probably should skip archive dirs -- https://github.com/Entware/Entware/issues/463#issuecomment-622892642
