Hi guys, apologies if this topic has been covered but I tried searching and couldn't find the answer to my scenario. My setup is an AX88u Pro (main) mesh with an AX88U, wired backhaul. I live in a detatched house, approximately 2500 sq feet. The AX88u Pro sits in a room on the second level and the AX88u sits in the basement. I also have an AC86U in media bridge mode on the main level so I can wire some devices. When I first moved in I got the contractor to run an ethernet cable from second level down to the basement hence why I can do wired backhaul but now I'm regretting not getting him to run more ethernet lines elsewhere. Anyways, my setup has been rock solid for the past year, I get decent signal in all areas of the house. Recently I got an outdoor cam thats installed by the garage and signal has been weak. Certain times its almost full bars but other times its at 1 or 2 bars and it just isnt reliable. So my plan is to extend the signal so I can get more coverage to that camera. I have a spare AC86U and I wanted to use that to extend the signal. I'm not sure where to place this router and how to add it to the network. So here's a few questions I had about this:
1. If I were to put this router in the garage, is it okay during the winter? I live in Canada by the way.
2. How should I add the router to the network? I read that mixing AX and AC in an aimesh system leads to instability, so what are my options?
3. Should I ditch the AC86U and get something else for my scenario?
