Hi everyone. The last time I posted it was very long so I'm going to try my best to keep this one short. I have around a 1000 square foot one story home. My ISP is Verizon Fios and I have their 1 gigabit internet plan. I recently bought the Nighthawk X4s R7800 and had this really weird problem. Download speeds on my Ps4 would not surpass 200mbps and when I tested my ping there was 100% packet loss. I was on the phone with Netgear and hooked it all up on the computer also tried testing with Qos on and off. When I hooked Verizon's Quantum Gateway up my Ps4 download speeds would reach near 600mbps and my average ping was 20ms. (Ps4 is always hardwired.) It really annoyed me because I spent $250 on the X4s and it seemed to do worse then Verizon's router . I need a router to best suit my needs. Ps4 is number one priority (bc I'm a tournament gamer) ollowed by Streaming then the wifi. Here's what I have:
Ethernet:
- Ps4 (Needs lowest ping & high download)
- 3 4k movie boxes (Streaming)
Wifi:
- Desktop computer
- 6 cellphones
