Yes, 384.13

Edit 1...

I guess the script needs minor changes, but sadly :( IDK how to do that.

Edit 2...

I just read the changelog, and yes, you're right.

"- CHANGED: dhcp_staticlist no longer contains hostnames, these
have been moved to dhcp_hostnames for better
compatibility with upstream and closed source
components, also allows more static leases to be
defined before reaching the size limit."

What firmware version are you using? The format of the NVRAM variable was changed in 384.13 (see the release notes).

Hi, I used to use nvram get dhcp_statuclist but as above, saw that in 384.13 changelog I should now issue nvram get dhcp_hostnames, correct?

When I issue nvram get dhcp_hostnames it does not throw an error but does not provide a list either. I used to use that list to import back into the Router after a major FW update (and a full reset).

The changelog at https://www.snbforums.com/threads/beta-asuswrt-merlin-384-13-beta-is-now-available.57765/ refers to the "variable" being stored in a jffs. CVariable aside, where would I find the list now please?

  • Note for developers, the dhcp_staticlist format was changed to revert back to the same format as stock firmware (for AiMesh compatibility). The hostname field was moved to a separate variable, dhcp_hostnames. Note that this variable will be stored in a jffs file on the RT-AC86U and RT-AX88U due to limitations on variable length for their HND platform. That means that a backed up config file will not restore these hostnames when restored (but using a JFFS backup will).
Thanks

k.

[EDIT]; OK, I used WinSCP to get into the Routers files and found all 3 files dhcp_staticlist, dhcp_hostnames and custom_clientlist in jffs/nvaram. Downloaded them, chanegd extension to .txt and it's all there. All good. HTH someone.
