New Around Here
Hi!

I have a AC3200 as router and need to extend my wireless. I've set up a RT-N66 as Wireless repeater and I also have a EA-N66.

I'm using smart connect since some of my clients aren't smart enough to choose which band to use effectivly, leaving me to have to disconnect and connect to a band with better reception manually, therefore I use Smart Connect feature.

But, Smart Connect makes my repeaters disconnect from the network. I assume it's because when I set up the repeaters I get to choose which frequency band to connect to from the AC3200. I choose the 2.4 GHz because it has the best reception where both my repeaters are located, but then after a while the AC3200 finds out it can move them to one of the 5 GHz bands and this makes the repeaters disconnect. Or, at least I believe this is the case.

Anyhow, my question is: Is there a way to have Smart Connect enabled, but also a list of devices which it shouldn't "move around" automagically?

Sorry for my bad english, it's not my primary language.

Regards.

EDIT: Using 60B1 on AC3200, 59 on the RT-N66 and 1.0.1.8r on the EA-N66 (Is there any custom FW for this one?)

Smart Connect is a proprietary blackbox, nothing can be changed related to it.
