Anyone know of plug power extension cables for the RT-AC5300 or like models? I don't know the size of the male end that plugs into the router.

I tried this product from Amazon but it didn't fit plugging into the router. The female end was just fine.

Any ideas?

Problem: I need about 12-15ft of cable that I am running along the bottom of a floorboards up along a door inside one of those cable management tubes. The standard cable it comes with is not long enough.

Alternatively could you not purchase a mains extension and run that? Wire would be thicker, but easier to obtain.

I would cut the cable and solder in another 2-conductor cable in between the ends.

So would I, my soldering iron is never far from me...

What do you mean by mains extension?

Also to the other two posters thank you for your suggestions but I'm not real big on cutting into my stock power cables. Just hoping to find out the size of the male end of the plug that goes into the router to see if I can find an adapter maybe if I can't find an extension cable end the same size. Then I can just put an adapter on the extension cable.

A standard extension cable.
Here's the type we use in Switzerland:

I guess it might be 4.5mm x 3.5mm, since it appears that is the plug used for some Asus 3.42 amp laptop adapters. 65 watts, wow. But measure. My router plugs are 3.5mm.
