On merlin you can use router.asus.comHi,
I found this pretty handy helping my sister-in-law out recently - but it doesn't seem to work with Asuswrt-Merlin ... or is it just me? I do seem to see it in the git code, but it could be somewhat disabled.
Not a biggie, just trying to understand.
Thanks!

Yes, that's the reason.Could it be because I'm in AP mode?
Yes, that's the reason.
Correct. All they were doing was hardcoding a hostname (findasus.local) in the router's own DNS server. Because you're in AP mode you're not using that DNS server.no way to make it work I assume (i.e. it's being bypassed effectively). Right?

Asus has a device finder application that can help you locate Asus devices on your network. You can download it from your device's support page on their website.
