Firmware choice? on ac3200 and ac68u/ac87u and my internett pages is slow sometimes?

I have a ac3200 in 2 floor and ac87u the ground floor,cable from ac3200 to ac87 u.
I use ac87u to cover the 1 floor and outside my house
Running latest asus firmware.
My internett speed is 100/20.
Sometimes internet pages is slow,tried speedtest.net and speedtest speed ok.
Im using cable/wired.
So is there anyone who can recommend a stable firmware for these two?
My dad has ac68u he uses the latest version of the asus firmware, What is the best firmware to ac68u?

Being it has a cable from the AC3200 to the ac87u, why are you not using it as a access point rather than a repeater ? Repeaters kill traffic and should only be used if there is no way to run a wire between them.

Or am I reading this wrong ?

Sorry my mistake,Im trying to learn,my ac87u is in AP Mode.
I use ac87u to cover the 1 floor and outside my house.
My ac3200 can't cover every place where I live.
Running latest asus firmware.
So what is the best firmware to use on my ac3200 and ac87u?

If you are sure speedtest is fast then I would consider using different DNSs than the ones your provider offer.

I've been using Merlin FW , no problems , worse can happen is you don't like it and you change back to stock Asus FW

No idea on HGG , Merlin is what I use , the HGG build gives you ALL channels , so if you use it you MUST set channels manually as it could assign a channel NONE of your clients will see , it can also boost signal beyond "legal" strength depending on local rules

Thanks im using latest merlin 380.57_0 now,and my internett page is going much faster.
I will try this some days now,thanks all the help.
