Firmware for the Asus RT AC87U

Hey guys i just brought the Asus RT87U now im on my way home what firmware is the best Asus or Merlins firmware. ?? Im gonna use this router for gaming on ps4 and netflix on the ps4 then i also got a synology nas server. Gonna install the router when i get home hope this router is good what there say it is

From memory, both are "admin". Remember to change ASAP,

Btw, in answer to your first question 378.4950 (the latest firmware) has been very positively received. You need to follow the instructions to RESET your router before upgrading though, even if you haven't set it up yet. Resetting forces the router to upload the new defaults (some hidden) for the new firmware. Failure to do so can cause some very weird effects.

The only thing i did is change thw setup first now i can see the main Dashboard do ok i need to update it then
