Frontier Fiber 1 gig vs Spectrum 1 gig using rt-be92u

So yes I bought the rt-be92u router after all...

Okay question when I was on spectrum 1 gig plan my router speed test from cable modem connected Ethernet cable was giving me results of over the 1 gig like 1150 etc

Now with Frontier 1 gig ONT to coaxial to moca adapter to Ethernet to router is router speed test results are under 1 gig like 950 why??? Is the fact that the fiber is going through coaxial and then to a moca box causing this?

Frontier representative told me to switch settings on router so I make it so the wan is 2.5 port and not 10gig wan why would that fix anything? Obviously using the 10 gig wan port is overkill on a 1 gig plan but I don't understand how going 2.5 wan port will make router speed test better

940-950 Mbps is pretty much spot on for a gigabit connection. So you appear to be getting exactly what you're paying for. But you might want to check whether your ONT or moca adapter only have gigabit interfaces.

Which MOCA modems do you have (brand, model #) ?

Plug an ethernet cable into the ONT from your ASUS router WAN port . You may have to move the ASUS temporarily.
Note: router based speed tests can be influenced by the load placed on the CPU of the router by the test software. Best to test with PC equipped with either 2.5G or 10G lan port plugged into equivalent LAN port on the router or possibly into the ONT directly, if supported.

I'll have to check on that it's what ever model mocas Frontier is using for 1 gig plan also wrong I don't need to use a PC because I'm testing speed test the router is receiving directly by going into its configuration page im not testing the speeds the router is sending out, I thought I was clear on what I'm doing....

OMG look I connected the router straight to the ont box WOW now I'm gonna look on Amazon for an Ethernet cable that can reaches where I normally have the router

That's link speed, not Internet speed. Still, go get the longer Ethernet cable; it would be an improvement, I think.
