Good day.

*nix pseudo-noob here. Just getting into VOIP as well.

Been playing around a bit with getting Entware & nano installed and thought that I had asterisk installed and config'd per the guidance provided here.

I perceived that I had an issue getting the asterisk daemon/web UI to kick off and figured a reboot was in order. I rebooted the router and everything that I did via an ssh session was obliterated - Entware seems to have gone away, nano seems to have gone away, and asterisk seems to have gone away. I only see little bits and pieces here and there (i.e. nanorc & opkg.conf files here).

I suspect that I have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the router's OS deals with new package installs and am looking for some high-level guidance on same.

Syslog screeny that shows a single log event that presents that the host OS thought that asterisk was installed: http://i.imgur.com/tXO2Pai.png

Here is the ssh console session during the install of asterisk and follow-on config'g: http://paste2.org/UOMpyZp3

The stuffs I did be gone into the ethers: http://i.imgur.com/LA7kjcy.png

HW/FW: Asus RT-AC66U w/ Merlin's 374.42

Can someone please help me to understand what the heck I did that caused the package installs not to be retained across reboots, or point me to some primer docs/threads?

Thank you, in advance.

Issue resolved. I Re-RTFM'd and got it running. It ended up my being remiss about not uninstalling Download Master - as I had forgotten that I had installed it via the router's web UI.
