GMT on daylight time?

In trying to set time of day to sync with my ISP's bandwidth reset, I set the router to GMT (Advanced>System>Time zone) and the ntp server is set to pool.ntp.org. If I run a "date" command, what comes back is 1 hour ahead as if it is applying daylight time to GMT. Must I do something silly like selecting -1:00 to get the correct time during daylight time or is there a good way to fix this?

Apologies if this has been posted already...search results were a needle in the haystack.

There are a couple of issues related to timezones, in part caused by the router using an outdated database.

Quite often you can work around the issue by selecting "Manual Daylight Savings" on the System page.

Thanks for the quick response RMerlin...yes, I wound up doing exactly that...there are some limitations on what you can do. It won't accept an input where the DST start and end times are exactly the same. I had to go with a 1 day, 1 hr. separation.

Best Regards,

Paul

Not sure if this will help....this is my time settings for GMT/BST which seem to be spot on (This year anyway).
