Never in my life have I had an issue forwarding ports on a router...welcome to the GT-AX11000! I've tried so many things it is borderline stupid. I am not a novice in this space, but I certainly feel like one.

I'm running stock firmware 3.0.0.4.384_8011. I've rebooted, completely shut down and yelled at the router after making changes...none of those things work. I am running in AIMesh configuration with an RT-AC5300 as a wired mesh node. The target server is configured to a manual IP using the DHCP assignments.

I'm trying to forward ports to a Minecraft server. Nothing fancy. Starting with port 19132, I go to WAN>Virtual Server/Port Forwarding and add a simple port forward. Then I test it using canyouseeme.org, the minecraft client and netstat (on the server). Nothing seems to get through. When I look at the logs on the router I see this:
Code:
May 5 17:29:32 kernel: ACCEPT IN=eth0 OUT=br0 MAC=04:92:26:e1:60:40:00:29:c2:00:44:19:08:00 SRC=52.202.215.126 DST=10.201.223.201 LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=52 ID=22445 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=37556 DPT=19132 SEQ=1381857713 ACK=0 WINDOW=26883 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 OPT (020405B40402080A56402E1C0000000001030307) MARK=0x8000000
May 5 17:29:33 kernel: ACCEPT IN=eth0 OUT=br0 MAC=04:92:26:e1:60:40:00:29:c2:00:44:19:08:00 SRC=52.202.215.126 DST=10.201.223.201 LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=52 ID=22446 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=37556 DPT=19132 SEQ=1381857713 ACK=0 WINDOW=26883 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 OPT (020405B40402080A56402F160000000001030307) MARK=0x8000000
May 5 17:29:35 kernel: ACCEPT IN=eth0 OUT=br0 MAC=04:92:26:e1:60:40:00:29:c2:00:44:19:08:00 SRC=52.202.215.126 DST=10.201.223.201 LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=52 ID=22447 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=37556 DPT=19132 SEQ=1381857713 ACK=0 WINDOW=26883 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 OPT (020405B40402080A5640310B0000000001030307) MARK=0x8000000

Everything looks to me like it should be working...but it isn't.

The receiving server is simply a Windows 10 machine. I've not only validated that the firewall settings are correct, but I've disabled the firewall completely with no change. I've also disabled the firewall on the router with no success.

The only thing I could think is that the port forwarding is not cascading to the AIMesh node...so I hard wired the server directly into the AX11000...nope.

At this point I'm thinking of switching back to Merlin since I believe it now supports AIMesh. I would just set up my AC5300 as an access point, but I really don't need that level of control and the AIMesh is at least nice in terms of a single click solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Even I have port forwarding issue on my RT-AX88U. It works for few days (2-3 days) and then suddenly stops working and my remote PCs and CCTV cameras can't be accessed. I keep a low power PC on 24x7 now with Teamviewer and Chrome Remote Desktop as a backup because those continue to work even if port forwarding has failed. Then I login to the remote PC, open router home page (as it opens on LAN) and reboot the router. Then again everything works for 2-3 days. After spending almost $350 on this RT-AX88U last year, Asus is a real let down. Last 3 firmwares are absolute junk when it comes to stability.

PS: Have you set Enable Port Forwarding button to ON? I have made that mistake before. I added the rules but forgot to turn On that button.

There is also an option to select Minecraft game under Open NAT setting introduced in 8011 firmware. Check it out.

I had issues with port forwarding on mine with newer firmware. I reverted back to 3.0.0.4.384_6436 and haven't had an issue since.
