I am going with Google Fiber next month. I current have GT-AX11000 Pro and two ZenWifi XT9 for my mesh that I replaced back in July. Will these work with 2 gig from GFiber? Also, GT-AX11000 pro vs Google Nest Router pro, comparing security. Will my Asus work well for security? Google rep worried me because Google router does not have the diagnosis app like Asus has for better monitoring and testing he said. I assume there should not be any adjustments needed with my Asus. I have 1 Gig of Spectrum now, but it does not work well. I average around 1/2 gig and Spectrum just can not seem to get their service right. I will also be saving $$ vs Spectrum. Your input would be appreciated. Hope this made sense as you can tell I am no data expert. Thank you

Yes, no need to replace if the system works well. Don't expect 2Gbps over Wi-Fi though.

Like Tech9 said, try it out first as-is if it is already working for you. You can always get in the Nest later if you think it will solve your networking problems, right? (And would you be renting that Nest?)

For Google Fiber - their Router/GW is not Nest Pro...

Going with their GW as the primary, is probably a good idea - Google Fiber, and their team, has an incredible amount of data to back up their decisions on how WiFi works within their footprint, so they've made good decisions there.

And here's some alternate info on the nest devices...

I can't see doing Nest WiFi Pro in any case, compared to the earlier Nest Wifi - the pro is a step back for most, esp on the routing side, the only advantage on the Nest WiFi Pro is WiFi6...

I did some testing with Nest Wifi a couple of years back with the Nest Wifi Router and a couple of WiFi Points, and it wasn't that bad - was decent wireless coverage performance across the whole house.

Tech9. thanks. My neighbor claims he gets 1gig down and up. But I read Google fiber can only deliver up to 1gig upload. Even if you have 2 gig or more download. I will take their upgraded routers, keep in case I do have problems with my set up. Asus just responded to me and said I should not have any problems with my Asus setup.
