GT-AXE11000 antenna not inserted & AiMesh with AX92U? Help

Picked up an open box Gt-axe11000 off Amazon. After setting it up I noticed one antenna sticking further away from the housing than the others.

First pic is the antenna and example of the others.

I try pushing it in (what I felt should've been a comfortable force).
Anyone have recommendations on what to try or how to fix if you ran into the issue?

Side issue: Ive been trying to add my old AX92U as a AIMesh node and it will not pair. I've moved it to the same room as the AXE11000, tried connecting it via wireless and via wired backhaul (described here https://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ax92u-cannot-add-mesh-node.72618/ )
I've factory reset the 92U, rebooted the AXE11000. Tried the app and web gui.
