If you are asking about Merlin firmware, he has historically not supported GT models. Currently he is experimenting with the GT-AC2900 though. If he decided to support it, it may not be for a long time if ever.

Also if you want support. Might be worth highlighting the features you'd miss the most by not having Merlin firmware.

So don't ask if/when a new model will be supported. I cannot speculate about future model support, and until I have working support for a model, I cannot answer that question.

Now, if your router is the latest and greatest explain why you need new/custom firmware??????

What you are really saying is your choice of router was not so great.
