Beta GT-AXE16000 9.0.0.6.102_4856 New Beta Firmware Release Notes

Still, I'd prefer the binaries on my NAS ;) so if anyone has the link to the binary that would be great.

Edit: found the link: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/GT-AXE16000/FW_GT_AXE16000_90061024856.zip
still suspicious why the history of firmwares is no longer shown on the download page (currently only the last 2 firmwares (non beta).

Up until yesterday on the web interface if you checked the checkbox to look for beta firmwares this beta showed up as an available upgrade. As of today it no longer shows up and I guess they've "officially" abandoned moving the AXE16000 over to 3.0.0.6_xxxxx...

I don't know when they added it back but it is available again if you check the check box to check for beta firmware.

The recent BQ16 Pro firmware release taught me that nodes can broadly affect network performance, so I installed this beta again yesterday. My PC lost internet/ethernet connection once and a reboot solved that, but so far made it through the night and working fine this morning. I will keep it unless I get serious trouble. Last time I recall needing hard reset, delete from AiMesh, and re-adding as a node...

Well, it has been running well for the last week now. Hopefully ASUS will update any security flaws and consider a release version like the GT-AX6000...

Coming up to 2 years and there's still no release, I was reluctant to use it after 6 months.
This is a problem if you ask me, such an expensive router and none of the new features that are being added except in an almost 2 years old beta.
And how long will this be comparable with the newer router firmware if we wanted to continue to use this as a AiMesh node?
Because of this never ending beta I've got almost no use out of my GT-AXE16000.

Strangely when this, or was it the previous beta, was released end of November '23 it was a terrible nightmare for me, as Ethernet would fail. Once I remember flashing release firmware over WiFi because I had no choice, none of the Ethernet ports worked. Ethernet security alarm lost connection to the monitoring station, in the middle of the night the touchpads were blaring...

But even though no update to the beta firmware, update to the BQ16 Pro apparently made this firmware stable for me. I already submitted a log, sorry if I'm being repetitious, and requested they transition it to a release version. I received an email thanking me for the suggestion. As a little more background I've had issues with a Windows 10 PC with 10 Gb Ethernet NIC, and until the most recent Windows update I felt Windows was part of the problem....

BQ16 Pro very few to no clients, as well as RT-AX86U. The house is 4100 SQ ft 2 floors. I have on top of these the BE95 as center and an Archer Predator Connect W6 in my son's room.

The Web GUI check for firmware updates does not work with the beta installed. I reinstalled the latest release for now....
