New Around Here
In order to control when my kids use internet I made a guest network which they can use.
I used the time setting under wireless -> professional -> enable wireless scheduler to set when its available.
To be able to use my own devices without time restrictions I use the time settings only on the 5 Ghz (on which I put the guest network) and every thing else on the 2.4 gHz.
Since most of the "old" devices like laptops etc run only on 2.4 they don't use the timetable setting.
Is it possible to add a time-scheduler function on the guest-network separate? So I can switch on and of the guestnetwork without loosing both 2.4 and 5 GHz signal that I use for my own devices (in a secure wifi network)

It will be possible in the new firmware.

Wauw, never had a problem/question solved this fast...... Any idea on timing of this new firmware?

Asus already has the feature available in their new firmware. Merlin will soon have it too I hope.

Nice feature - not just for the kids, but also consider small business applications where they only desire the guest network to be open during operating hours.

Looked at the standard firmware but i cannot find this feature. Can anybody confirm the new option?
If so please give the version-number so I can double-check if I did something wrong.

I have be checking everything but this "new feature" cannot be found. Is there anybody with a solution?

Err. that will be the one he asked about in the OP.

2 new firmware versions further and no time schedule....... I gues I bought the wrong router for the yob.....

Use Parental Control. Guest Access can only limit how long a client can stay connected.
