Minor annoyance on the RT-AX58U. Wondering if there is a fix. I am trying to save a bookmark for a particular GUI webpage (system log). If I have the device client VPN enabled (ExpressVPN), I can use the URL http://192.168.1.1/Main_LogStatus_Content.asp . After I log-in, it will display the correct page. However if I do not have VPN enabled, when I enter that URL it gets redirected to http://www.asusrouter.com/Main_Login.asp. After log-in, it doesn't go to the log status page which is now http://www.asusrouter.com/Main_LogStatus_Content.asp. Worse yet, if I try to use that as my bookmark, this URL is not recognized when the device client VPN is enabled. I am assuming this has to do with whether I am using the router DNS or the ExpressVPN's DNS. This issue happens on the Windows machine (Edge browser) and Mobile (Samsung Internet browser). Does anyone know if there is a fix for this by adjusting the router (NVRAM, etc.)? Thanks!

EDIT: I think I found a solution. I delete the entries in the /tmp/etc/host(s) file for www.asusrouter.com and asusrouter.com and restart dnsmasq. Hopefully that doesn't mess anything else up!

Does the Asus DNS have a hosts file or something? Maybe if it blocked asusrouter.com, the redirect would also be stopped?

I can't seem to find that option (only WAN down redirect). I'm using the stock firmware, 3.0.0.4.388_22237. Maybe that is a Merlin feature?
