Half speed

Hi , I have a Asus RT-AX86U running Merlin. Internet speed 1G/1G
In the router Adaptive Qos speed test I m getting near the promissed speed.

But in the macbook connect to the lan port just getting halv speed (a litle more but not near).

Any tips where to look?

Different test servers. For a true comparison test with the same server - you can manually select the server at speedtest.net

Turn off QoS? With that fast internet connection QoS tends to hinder more than help.

Thanks Colin, Aiprotection is off. But Im running wireguard server. Will disable tommorow. That means if i m running the wireguard server all my devices got just halv the internet speed? Thanks

I'm not sure. There were speed issues with Wireguard in the past. Test it to see whether that's the problem or not.

         mode, forcing clients to use the DNS provided by it
         (if any is provided).

         Note that enabling WireGuard will disable hardware
         NAT acceleration due to compatibility reasons.

Try updating to the current version. There were some improvements for this problem:

Good news! Thanks! BTW: Does this note still apply? Note that enabling WireGuard will disable hardware NAT acceleration due to compatibility reasons. Most models (if not all, I don't remember specifically) should be able to use Asus' bypass method that will leave hardware acceleration enabled...
