Tim,

Can you please point me to a review of hard drives? I am trying to pick the drives out for the NAS I want to buy. I'm hoping that you have a good review and comparison like the one you just did on the "adapter roundup". Thanks!

I recommend you visit your NAS vendors website and only select from drive models that appear on their compatibility list. You may also want to take a bit of time and check the NAS vendors forums to make sure users are happy with the drive model you decide on. I say that because ALL NAS vendors have at least one disk model on their compatibility list that users will claim should be removed. Some have more than one model that should be removed.

As a general rule, the Seagate .ES2 series is supported by nearly all NAS products. Again check before you buy.

Sorry, but there are plenty of sites that do hard drive reviews. Here's one I usually check: http://www.storagereview.com/

Claykin's recommendation is correct. Check your NAS approved drive list before making a purchase.
