Solved [Help] DDNS external ip check method?

Hi!

My router : RT-AC86U, running Merlin 386.9.
I remember an option to select method to retrieve wan ip (internal or external), I think it was in DDNS, but I cannot find it right now...
Is it something that was deleted? Or is it somewhere else?

That option was removed as it is done automatically now.

I have AXE16000 and no choice but to run 386.8 or any other 386 but not any 388's,asus or merlins.
What is the difference and which is preferred?

Why not? Merlin 388.4 is available.

Because I have one of those routers that will not update to any 388 based FW.
Stuck with any 386 based FW,386.8 is latest I can find for this router.

Best ask asus but I'm not the only one.
