New Around Here
Hello,

Since last Friday I have a fiber internet line (500mb/500mb) from dutch provider XS4ALL. I use an Asus RT-AC68U with the latest Merlin firmware.
The connection is PPPoE, LAN>IPTV I set Select ISP Profice on Manual and internet is on VID 6 with prio 0. On LAN>Switch Control I set NAT Accellaration to disabled (advise on dutch board).
Internet now works great and is stable!
I do not have Telephony or IPTV so on LAN>IPTV the LAN Port 3 en 4 are left empty.

The problem I now have is that LAN port 1 and 2 have internet connection and DHCP works. LAN port 3 and 4 are not working, no IP address is being given out to any connected pc on those ports.
Is this a bug? How can I fix this and make LAN port 3 and 4 back to function again with internet connection/DHCP working?
I hope it is possible to fix this as I desperately need these 2 LAN ports.

Not sure you have your title correct, there are many others here that can help you. However...

You can enter the following from a telnet or ssh prompt and it will allow you to use them as lan ports again.

Code:
nvram set switch_stb_x=0
nvram commit
reboot

Yes, you're right. Of course more members will be able to answer my question. Thanx Hardcat.

Can you explain what this command will do? Will my setup (VID=6, prio=0) still work after running this command. I know how to telnet the router ;-)

Yes it will.

To the best of my knowledge, when you configure IPTV and select the ISP Profile manual, the switch_stb_x variable is set to 6. This configures ports 3 and 4 for use with set top boxes. When you set it back to 0, it configures ports 3 and 4 back to lan ports.
