New Around Here
I have about a $200-$300 budget.
I have an e commerce business and utilize about 12 computers and 4 printers.
I need wired/wireless speed and excellent range capability.
My house with a finished basement is about 3,500 square feet with three floors.
I have CAT6 cable wired throughout the house and some repeater/extenders along with a couple AV powerline units.
I have the Comcast 105/20 service
I have a DIR 625 which is awful for wireless. When I am 30 ft away between a wall I have 1 bar.
Should I wait until the new standard ac Routers get their bugs fixed?
Any feedback appreciated.
On Amazon/Tiger/Buy/New Egg I see mixed reviews on everything.

Change the repeater/extenders to access points connected via Ethernet. This should improve wireless speeds,

What qualities are you looking for in the new router?

Draft 11AC will help only if you have 11AC clients.

Thanks for replying Tim,

I guess in weighted value

1) wireless Range
2) wired speed
3) wireless speed

Security would round it out but I dont care about any bells or whistles which I paid for in the DIR-625.

There are plenty of routers that have > 100 Mbps routing throughput, just check the Router Charts.

I'd pick up a refurb Cisco Linksys and give it a try. The EA3500 had pretty good wireless range in my tests.
