RTAC-87U - latest merlin firmware.

Just had a terrible time connecting to it for no reason at all, other than the fact its a new day. So I logged into it and rebooted it, but then could not get any wireless devices connected. So i hard booted it, fired up the pc and got into it that way, and found that error several times in the log.

Can't be good!

Unsure what the problem is though.

I'm not running any VPN's or anything at this stage, its just running as a router, both radio's enabled, and is controlling authentication via ISP supplied cable modem/router running bridge mode.

Last thing i did last night was enable the parental controls, schedule my kids devices, and enabled the 'protection' stuff.

I've only had this one for a week or so, upgraded from my RTAC66u.

Any idea's anyone?

Thanks in advance.
Dave.

Could you please publish more info about it? Full log would help instead of only a few lines.

Firmware? Stock or RMerlin? Version?

Have you cleaned your NVRAM already? Or reset the router to defaults via GUI?

This error message has been extensively discussed on these forums - try a search with that particular error line.

Basically, it's a known bug in Asus' firmware, it doesn't seem to be accompanied by any particular side-effect, so you can just ignore these for now.

Not sure if related, or just randomly stopped. But what first alerted me, was that my play station wouldn't connect to my game server but tested fine on its connection settings. I had set the 'Ai'protection up on the router the night before, and sure enough after noticing the aforementioned errors in the log, I also had some emails from my router claiming suspicious behavior from
My ps4 so it had blocked it.

Needless to say I disabled that function and restarted the router. My play station works properly again and I haven't seen that error again so far either.
