My AC-66R has been stuck withe 2.4ghz in legacy mode ever since ASUS released their beta firmware for the router, i decided to try merlin to see if it would help at all and it hasnt. I really dont want to send this router back to asus so is there anything i can do to get this off of "legacy" mode?

Erase nvram, configure it from scratch, and make sure you set it to WPA2-AES. Any lower-grade security will downgrade to 802.11g speed.

It's either spend 10 mins reconfiguring, or spend a few hours trying to figure out what's wrong. Your choice.

You can reset back to factory default by going to Administration -> Save/Restore Settings.
