Help with OpenVPN connection

New Around Here
Hi All,
Some help for a newbie would be greatly appreciated before I am stabbed in my sleep by my wife for no US TV...

My setup is as per the attached PDF.

I did have it working yesterday for a while but when I woke this morning it wasn't. (which I can't understand)

when i checked the log I found the line: "TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds"
I attached what I think is the syslog file that could maybe help.
I am guessing it could be because there is no "rules" which allows the traffic to pass between the routers and router 1 (or router 2 even) might be blocking the VPN connection?
I read quite a bit about iptables commands but did not manage to work out what I needed to do on router 1/2 to get it working.

Could this be because I do not have any routing rules in router 1 or 2 which allows the OpenVPN connection to connect?

I am using 2 x ASUS RT-68U and the latest version of asuswrt-merlin.

If any one is able to help, please give instructions that a complete novice can follow, as that is a grade above me.

Thanks in advance.

G.
