New Around Here
Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum. In this month I use a lot your amazing community for learn something about routers and try to find the best solution for me.
I'm in a rural area with a terrible internet connection (2 Mbps DW / 0.4 Mbps UP) so three years ago I decided to go for a 4G connection with an indoor device and my speed increase ten times in the worst case scenario (cell saturation). Now I am making futher step using an outdoor device including a powerfull antenna that give me a speed ranging from 50 to 100 Mbps.

This new device come only with an ethernet PoE port that comes in my house. The position of the cable enter in my house make it impossible for my old indoor 4G router to be use like an access point for his bad performance and coverage so I need to find a solution.

Reading the forum and with a budget (< € 70) I was thinking:
- Netgear R7800 (I could buy used for € 50 or less)
- Netgear R7000 (used for € 20) in AP mode for extend the wireless connection in not crucial area of the home

If you have any better advice or confirm my conclusion thanks in advance for the reply

Why not run a cable to the location instead of buying more e-waste?
Thanks for your reply, the problem is that the ethernet cable of the 4G router could arrive only in a room that is located at one end of the home. Another problem is that all is placed at the second floor so I need to reach the signal in the first one (that remain not crucial regarding speed) so my doubt is that the R7800 is not able to get here.

I am always open to alternative also regarding the R7800 for the same budget.

Well, if you're talking wifi signal then adding a wired AP could solve the coverage issue. I use a nwa210ax and get good coverage and speeds corner to corner in 1300sq ft. The r7800 can be put into AP mode and connect to the primary over wifi. The downfall will be speed as it cuts the bandwidth in half but, at 100mbps that shouldn't be a big deal.

If you are talking about the LTE that's a different story.

No no for LTE there is no problem the 4G router give me the internet connection from a standard SIM. For my budget like a primary I would like to use the R7800 or I don't know if there is a better choiche so feel free to suggest another device. So the problem is what I could use like wifi range extender that "repeat" the R7800 wifi and r7000 with openwrt for the price seems to me good for doing that but I could be wrong.

Well, you need to provide more info.

Size of the space?
Current router?
Type of construction?
Distance from LTE router?

speed ranging from 50 to 100 Mbps.

If you need Internet access mostly and good range you can go with - 2x EAP115 access points, I see them around €30/piece new.

They are N300-class 2.4GHz only, will give you ~90Mbps to 2-stream client at 20MHz wide channel, come with power supply, support PoE.
